Bio

Brendon Boney is a Wiradjuri/ Gamilaroi man who grew up in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales and is now based in Ettalong Beach on the Central Coast of New South Wales. He has been a recording and performing artist touring the world for the past decade and is an APRA PDA winner. Over his career he’s performed Bluesfest Byron Bay, Woodford Folk Festival, Sydney Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Brisbane Festival, Friendship Festival (Seoul, Sth Korea) & The Aussie BBQ (UK). Brendon participated in APRA’s Songhubs The Tower 2021, a 5 day intensive songwriting camp that included artists such as Ruel, Amy Shark & Vera Blue. He's written for and collaborated with artists such as PJ Harding, Jaguar Jonze, Becca Hatch, MXWLL, Tessa Thames, Xavier Dunn & Tasman Keith and his work is played on triple j, fbi radio, ABC radio and community radio nationwide with over 80 000 Spotify streams.

Brendon has composed for Bangarra Dance Theatre (Dubboo), Belvoir Theatre (At What Cost?, Winyanboga Yurringa) and Ensemble Theatre. He toured with Ilbijerri Theatre’s acclaimed production Black Ties as Music Director and made his acting debut in the same production.

He’s currently a Design Associate at Sydney Theatre Company for Composition & Sound Design.
