Chantal is a descendant of the Biripi People of Northern NSW. After dancing with Bangarra from 2003-2005, Chantal rejoined Bangarra in 2013 as the Youth Program Team Leader.



Chantal is a descendant of the Biripi People of Northern NSW.



Chantal graduated from the National Aboriginal & Islander Skills Development Association (NAISDA) College in 2002 and has over 25 years of performing and over 10 years teaching experience.

Chantal’s career highlights include Performing alongside the women of the Central Dessert as part of the 2000 Olympic games opening ceremony, performing in Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Harvey Theatre and The Kennedy Centre in Washington D.C, as well as Cultural and cross cultural exchanges with the Inuit people of northern Canada, JAK ART festival in Indonesia, Back to country residencies to Ngukurr NT and Mer, Yam and Thursday Islands In the Torres Strait.

In 2013 Chantal joined the Youth Program team as Team Leader and has gone on to travel to more than 20 regional and remote communities as part of the Rekindling program. She has creatively collaborated and choreographed sections of the Aboriginal Component for both the New South Wales School Spectacular and Creative Generations since 2014, as part of Bangarra’s partnerships with the New South Wales Education Department’s Arts Unit, and DET SER QLD and Creative Generations State Schools Onstage QLD.

Her inspiration comes from her family, especially her daughter who she hopes to instill a great sense of pride and understanding in knowing she is a descendant of a vibrant, culturally rich and strong people.
