Bio

Lynette is a Wiradjuri and Gamilaroi woman from Dubbo and Moree and a Senior Lecturer in the Sydney School of Education and Social Work at the University of Sydney. Lynette was Cultural Consultant on the Bangarra Dance Theatre production Miyagan from OUR Land People Stories (2016).

Lynette trained as a primary teacher through Armidale College of Advanced Education from 1975-77. She has been a classroom teacher in primary and high school, a consultant for schools, an Aboriginal Development Manager for VET, Manager of the Dubbo TAFE Campuses, State Manager for New South Wales Department of Education and Training (Aboriginal Education), and a senior lecturer at University of New England and University of Sydney. Lynette seeks to find solutions creating sustainable change for Aboriginal programs, entwining understandings, knowledge of cultural education and competence.
