'Responding' explores the variety of responses to soft cultural subjugation. In this image preliminary gestures of reciprocation are made through gifts of clothing. Through this scene, the audience witnesses a variety of Wangal responses to these 'cultural ideas' dressed as garments, from rejection to exploration. This section allows Bennelong's nature, his curiosity for connection, to spring into play.
