Nandhu (pronounced Naan-du) means ‘to be close’ in Wiradjuri language.

Nandhu takes you on a journey through some of our most iconic productions through interviews, articles, and behind-the-scenes video content.

This Nandhu focusses on Frances Rings’ 2012 work Terrain, a powerful and stirring production about the timelessness of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre and the Arabunna people’s relationship with this sacred site.

Frances Rings joined Bangarra in 1993, and in 2002, made her choreographic debut with the company with the critically-acclaimed Rations. Frances has gone on to create many more award-winning works for the company and was appointed to the position of Associate Artistic Director in 2019.
