Bio

Chenoa has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) from Queensland University of Technology, and an Advanced Diploma of the Performing Arts from the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA). Chenoa is an award-winning actress, receiving the Matilda Award for Best Performance in a Leading Role for her performance in ‘Is That You, Ruthie?’ Most recently she performed in Queensland Theatre’s Pride and Prejudice.

The Bogong’s Song: A Call to Country is Chenoa’s first official writing credit. However, for the past five years she has been working on and co-writing her own feature film with the Production Company Rough Sea Films.

Chenoa’s other Acting credits include: TIDDAS (La Boite Theatre Company). Caesar (La Boite Theatre Company); Black Cockatoo (Ensemble Theatre Company); The Longest Minute (Queensland Theatre) The Seven Stages of Grieving (Queensland Theatre/Grin and Tonic); Sorting Out Rachel (Ensemble Theatre Company); An Octoroon, MotherCourage and Her Children, St Mary’s in Exile (Queensland Theatre): Rainbow’s End (Riverside Theatres). Chenoa’s screen credits include Safe Home, Troppo, Summer Love and Splatalot.
