Maddison Paluch
Dance Artist
Maddison has danced for most of her life. While at school she was part of the NSW Department of Education’s Aboriginal Dance Company working with Sidney Saltner and the Bangarra Youth Programs Team. During her time at NAISDA Dance College, she choreographed her first work, Nqoenakap which was performed at the 2019 Graduation performance, and she has experienced numerous cultural residencies in both the Torres Strait and North East Arnhem Land.

Maddison is a Wiradjuri woman descending from Narrandera area in the Riverina region of Southern New South Wales.

Bio
Born and raised on Dharug Country in Western Sydney, New South Wales, she is also of Polish background. A graduate of Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and NAISDA Dance College, Maddison was also the recipient of the Bangarra’s 2020 Russell Page Professional Development Scholarship which offered her the opportunity to study with the Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year.

Working with Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-professional year in 2020, Maddie expanded her dance training to include improvisation techniques, counter balance skills and a range of other contemporary dance techniques.
