Michael is a Founding Member of Bangarra Dance Theatre and has maintained a close relationship with the company throughout the years, working with the company as a Cultural Consultant on productions including Fire - A Retrospective (2009).

Bio
Michael comes from Saibai Island in the Torres Strait Islands where he is a leading Dancer in his community.
For many years he has taught traditional Torres Strait Islander dance at NAlSDA Dance College. In 1988, he toured Germany and Finland with Aboriginal Islander Dance Theatre Professional Performing Group. With his passion for dance he returned to join Bangarra in 1991, travelling to Indonesia with the company before performing in Up Until Now.
