With decades of experience in the creative industries, Tessa Rose is an accomplished Actress and Dancer. Tessa studied dance at NAISDA, the National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Association and received a Diploma in Dance. She performed with Bangarra Dance Theatre in the late 1990s in productions such as Fish.

Bio
Tessa Rose is an accomplished Actress and Dancer who grew up on the Daly River. Tessa studied dance at NAISDA, the National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Association and received a Diploma in Dance. She performed with Bangarra Dance Theatre in the late 1990s in productions such as Fish. She also danced in the music video Treaty by Yothu Yindi, fronted by the late Dr Yunupingu. She credits these experiences as sparking her interest in the arts industry.
Tessa was nominated for a Deadly Award in the Female Actor of the Year category for her role as Coral in Redfern Now. As well as Redfern Now, Tessa has appeared in Glitch, Kiki and Kitty, White Collar Blue, Corroboree Walk, Icam, Station ID and Cleverman. Tessa has also starred in the short films Immortal Man, Lyan and Two Bob Mermaid and Leah Purcell’s short film She.Say.
Tessa Rose was Writer, Performer and Creative Director of her one woman show, The Daly River Girl.
