    Bennelong Point

    Tubowgule

In 1790, New South Wales Governor Arthur Phillip built a brick hut for Bennelong at the place now known as Bennelong Point. Once known as Tubowgule, meaning "where the knowledge waters meet", Bennelong Point is on the lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation.

Bennelong Point is now home to Sydney Opera House, of which Bangarra is as Resident Company.
