Glenn Hughes

Lighting Design

Between 2003-07, Glenn Hughes worked as Lighting Designer and also Associate with Bangarra Dance Theatre. He has toured extensively with Bangarra Dance Theatre throughout Australia and internationally and has taught lighting design at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, RMIT University, and Queensland University of Technology.

Bio

Throughout his career, Glenn has worked as a Lighting Designer for many companies including Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland Theatre Companies, Playbox, Malthouse Theatre, Victorian Arts Centre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Ballet, Sydney Opera House, Creative Regions, Real TV, Barking Gecko, Jute, Melbourne and Sydney Festivals, La Boite and Bangarra Dance Theatre.

Glenn was Lighting Designer for True Stories (2007), Associate Lighting Designer on Bush (2003) and Boomerang (2005), remounted lighting for the Regional Tour of Clan in 2006, and the International Tours of Bush to the United States, United Kingdom, Japan.

He has toured extensively with Bangarra Dance Theatre throughout Australia and internationally and has taught lighting design at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, RMIT University, and Queensland University of Technology.

Glenn lives and works in Brisbane.
